Moon palace says its 5 star but I'd give it 4 stars. You have to make proper upgrades if you want to call yourself 5 star. My main concerns were the conditions of the resort and how they handled the food stations. The tiles were pealing off the pool, plenty of rust on the water slide and it was only working one of the four days we were there, needs painting and the hall to the rooms needs updating. Has an old motel feel with carpet and old paint. The water sports were mostly down (not working pedal bikes) In regards to food, they were always "out of something". They have to learn how to run a buffet in an all inclusive so things are always replenished before they run out. At every restaurant and every station they were out of something I wanted. It was annoying. Overall, okay stay but I wouldn't go back. I need 5 stars for this price in Jamaica. Oh and beware, they are hawks to sell timeshares or something. I was told I couldn't sit in certain areas or on certain chairs because they were reserved for the timeshares..even though they were mostly empty my entire stay! They also need better entertainment. They rarely had music playing which I was shocked as I'm in Jamaica! They had a wedding almost every day so I was told they couldn't play the music at certain times. But when they did play music, the DJ played from a station with ads...it was crazy to hear ads from a DJ. Like pay for the ad-free app! The entertainment was just ok. Food good!

I was sent a email for free transportation. I booked transportation but free promis was not honored. Not given promised 3 FREE Nights in Punta Cana. They push timeshare like RTUs. The resort is nice. The over promise under deliver is recurring and frustrating.

Overall we had a good trip. We had mixed reviews with regard to the staff. It seemed like the men on staff were super helpful and wanted everyone to enjoy their time at the resort. But as a whole, the women came off as rude (think giving an attitude or eye roll, when our party of two adults and five children, asked for a beverage at lunch). Almost as if we, as paying guests at the resort were inconveniencing them. The kids loved the lifeguards at the Flowrider! The resort credits are a joke. They can only be used at the spa, minimal items in the gift shop and very limited excursions (which were way overpriced compared to Viator). The Spa prices were ridiculously high even with the use of the small amount of resort credit allowed to be used there. The food at the resort was average. We had reservations at a different restaurant for each night of our stay. Our housekeeper was phenomenal! She was so kind and tidied our room twice each day. I’m glad our family could visit Jamaica and experience some nature. With so many options to choose from when it comes to resorts in the Caribbean and Europe, I don’t think we would choose Moon Palace again.

We have been regular visitors to the Moon Palace so have become accustomed to the excellent quality of service. We travelled as an extended family with small children and the facilities (3 rooms) were a great fit. Our initial move into our rooms was a bit noisy but this quitened down within an hour. One of the rooms was not available until after 3 pm but was fine once delivered.

Pros: Dining reservations were a breeze thanks to the resort app. Everything was very user-friendly, and we had no trouble booking where we wanted to eat. The food was pretty solid for an all-inclusive—plenty of variety and available 24/7. We especially loved the Jerk Hut during the day! Drinks were nothing overly fancy but definitely more enjoyable than at other resorts we’ve visited. The beach, while small, was beautiful—soft sand, no rocks, and easy to enjoy. The on-site Dolphin Cove experience was a highlight! Conveniently located on the premises, fairly priced, and staffed by knowledgeable, caring individuals. Cons: Unfortunately, not all the staff matched the warm hospitality we’ve come to love in Jamaica. While many team members were fantastic, we did encounter several who seemed unhappy or indifferent, which left a noticeable impression. The spa experience was just okay. While the actual service was great, the overall experience was lacking—limited access, no clear guidance on amenities, and not quite worth the high price tag. A big frustration was the resort credits. We left with over $300 unused because they simply couldn’t be applied to much. It felt like a missed opportunity and a bit misleading. Despite the few setbacks, we had a memorable vacation and would recommend Moon Palace Jamaica, especially for families looking for convenience and a mix of relaxation and fun. A few tweaks in hospitality and transparency would make it a true five-star experience.

Jamaica is truly a paradise. The hotel is pretty but the rooms are a tad small and a bit rundown. Still, it is a beautiful hotel with nice staff andany places to eat and relax. There where shows and activities but not all day long; they would last an average of an hour and that's it. Food was good and had a bunch of varieties. The Indian food at the sundeck and the jerk chicken where the best. If they could play de music a bit higher during the day or have more fun entertainment during the day, it would be nicer. But overall we loved it.

Good but not great.

Hotel really is all inclusive. All restaurants, paddle boards, kayaks, surf rider, swim with dolphins, all bars, water slid, all specialty drinks. So just take a lot of $1 and $5 for tips. Also the food was mediocre to bad, even in the best reservation only restaurants. They need to invest in cooks and ingredients. The Buffett reminded me of Carnival cruise line, the worst. We didn’t not walk by or in a single restaurant that smelled like the food they advertised. We were all happy to leave on the last day just to get something to eat. As we checked out the offered me the same room suite for 2 adults 2 kids for $300 a night after I had just paid more than double that. Actually wasn’t a selling point!

This was a family vacation with two teenagers. From the moment we arrived at the hotel it was five star service. The staff was both professional efficient and so helpful. Rooms excellent and room service was excellent. The dining buffet was amazing with so many different types of foods. The pools and on property activities will also excellent. One of the best properties we have visited. Service as expected with a smile, as after all, we are in Jamaica! We were all including the kids entertained at all times !

Great entrance hall with bar! Every area is perfectly decorated and staff always so friendly and helpful.

Worst resort experience we’ve ever had! They stole my hat, and when we got home, my husband discovered multiple fraudulent charges on his account. At checkout, I was busy reporting my missing hat, so my husband handled the checkout process. They told him there was a $12 balance on the account. Oddly, the card I used at check-in wasn’t charged, so he gave them his card to cover the balance. That card was never used anywhere else only at checkout and within two days, there were over five fraudulent charges. Completely unacceptable. Please be careful When you visit this resort.
