I was placed in a room with wall-to-wall windows that looked directly into the cafe and restaurant, which made me feel uncomfortably on display. I had to draw the curtains, which unfortunately shut out all natural daylight, making the space feel less inviting. Additionally, I was left waiting while the restaurant staff finished a team meeting, which didn’t create a welcoming first impression. As for the meal, I ordered the cod dish, which was beautifully presented but lacked in portion size — it felt like style was prioritised over substance.
Repeat visit to hotel and didn’t disappoint. Great room this time large and spacious with floor length windows dual aspect giving the room a bright outlook.
Breakfast although relocated outside of the dining space was well catered for with excellent choice and variety to offer.
We had a brilliant stay and we would certainly recommend. Lovely location. Really peaceful and green.

The hotel was on the University of Nottingham campus. It was a mile from Beeston where my daughter is living. The rooms were excellent, the food was great and the price made it an extremely good value. I would stay here again.
Unfortunately, despite the hotel being quite empty, I had very noisy neighbours and the hotel is not well sound insulated. Towels were also very harsh on the skin, and the bed was not particularly comfortable, quite worn.
A very pleasant stay, and good value for money. The staff were so helpful and polite. Our room was very modern, clean, and tidy with plenty of light. The site iis tucked away within the University grounds so it's quiet and secure with superb transport connections within a walkable distance.
Value for money mid range hotel in a pleasant university setting. Spacious and airy with nice bar area and seating to relax with a drink.
Room was a deluxe king - spacious room with comfortable bed. Some random design of a coat stand in the room with an iron board. Just needs a bit more thought in terms of where this can be placed out of sight. Area behind the desk below the TV unnecessary wires hanging which could be easily hidden with cabling and fittings to the back of the desk - just some basic design and aesthetics would finish the overall appearance.
Bathroom was good and clean which is always a plus, tiling and grout all free from mould and stains so gold star for that.
Breakfast, although very busy on the Saturday morning we were there, was offered with a great selection of hot and cold offerings. Staff were really attentive and restaurant manager friendly and engaging ensuring a smooth service.
Overall would stay again when watching son at uni sporting tournaments.
Great hotel. I’ve stayed for work a few times and it’s been fantastic every time.

No Wi-Fi/signal in a hotel in 2025 is poor
No Wi-Fi or signal in room. Had to change rooms. Lift broke. Wasn’t told about change of breakfast times due to renovation as the letter with the info on was given back with original room key & didn’t get a new one. Was then late for breakfast which was a shame as looked good with gluten free options.,
