This is an old property formerly i believe known as the Highlander Motel and parts of it still show its age That said my room was spacious, clean with what appeared to be a new refurbished bathroom with shower cabinet I enjoyed my stay with the staff on arrival and breakfast next morning being very pleasant. Service was excellent. One point to note is that the hotel is used for bus tours but that did not bother me in the least. Would stay here again if the need arose.

Highlander Hotel was recommended by a friend who had been impressed at how well they catered for large bus trips as well as smaller parties. We weren't sure it would suit us but tried it for two nights. It was a very pleasant surprise. Despite being a pet friendly hotel our room had absolutely no sign of ever having an animal in it and was spotlessly clean. The food was good and the staff were excellent - even offering us a cooked breakfast when we arrived 20 minutes late after I misread the breakfast times! Facilities were very good and it is conveniently placed for travel without traffic noise. Thank you.

Good overnight stay

One night stay. Staff efficient and pleasant. Room was on the ground floor and there was quite a lot of creaking floorboards from the room above which was on the verge of being disturbing. Found the bar lacked character, mistook it for a small dining area to begin with, no easy chairs.

Good value stay

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean although there were a number of stains on the wall. Breakfasts were good but the evening meal we had was poor. Howwever, overall it was a good stay and I would recommend for a reasonably priced stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The customer service is amazing throughout. Breakfast was alright, loved the serving to the tables. Beans and sausage, not really for my taste, everything else was delicious. There was not a lot of options for a vegan, but you’d probably survive. Ask for veggie milk if you need it. Fruit tea was delicious. Room was little meh, there was a window open probably cause it smelled. The door lock was difficult to lock but maybe we just didn’t know how 😂 Maybe someone’s smoked there. Tbe cold tap was hard to close, we kept thinking we closed it but it started running again when we got to bed.

Great value

I used this as a stop-off, due to a long journey from further up in The Highlands. The room was fairly basic but clean and comfortable and equipped with everything I needed. Good value for money and I will definitely use this again, if it's a logical base for my journey.

Idéal pour un court séjour dans les Cairngorms

Bonne localisation, idéale pour visiter le parc national des Cairngorms. Restaurants, pharmacie, station service, supérette à proximité. Chambre et salle de bain spacieuses, mais mal insonorisées, et des fuites dans la salle de bain. Personnel très agréable et réactif.
