Location was okay. Lots of homeless people in the area. Was alittle scary at night. One of the 4 elevators was broken causing LONG delays and waiting for the elevator. Everyone was stuffed like sardines in the elevators. It was not fun!!
Convenient access to downtown, and uptown both east and west. The rooms are tiny, with almost non existent closet space and a tiny bathroom shower area. The elevators are almost never available. I was thankful for a room at level 6. At 300 a night after taxes, not a VFM option. Breakfast was okay. Staff is excellent, front office, housekeeping and especially the restaurant staff! I would return only at half the price and if there were no other options.
One male front desk at evening shift was so different than others. No smile for my checking, basically no emotions on his face… until I met other staffs, then I figure out only him looks like that.. should be a front desk, even the breakfast staffs’ smiles a lot.
Great experience overall. This was my first trip to NYC and was thankful my hotel choice was so conveniently located and super clean. Two things that made it a little frustrating was:
1) the elevators were super slow. You're literally stopping at almost every single floor - I was on floor 34.
2) the rooms doors have a big gap underneath so you hear everything from the hallways and the rooms in front. I put on some white noise at night which help a lot.
Overall, great experience.
