We have been to NYC during Christmas four times now, we have stayed here twice, once in 2022 and once in 2025 last week. The Front desk staff was not friendly at all, condescending when checking in (2 workers). The food was so much worse than it was back in 2022, we didn’t even eat there the last two days even though it was included. We were put in a handicapped room which made the bathroom space and toilet awkward to use. It was clean, but not the same room we had the first visit, definitely a downgrade. The best part of this hotel is the location. So close to Times Square, that is the one plus I can offer. Worst of all, be careful of the front bellhops. We had a bellhop named Christian that attempted to scam us out of money. We asked for him to get us a cab back to JFK airport. First, he tried to get us to buy their select ride for over $100. We said we would prefer the cab since it is a flat rate of $70 plus tolls from Manhattan to JFK. He then proceeded to tell us that the flat rate only applies from JFK to the city and that we would have to pay well over $120-$130 for the ride. He then helped get our bags to the taxi, got us in the car and had a talk with the driver before the cab driver got back in the car. The taxi driver on the ride admitted that the bellman told him to charge us a more expensive fare and then cut him in on the profit. If I wasn’t familiar with the process or if the cab driver wasn’t honest, we would have lost money. Do your research!

The room was clean and newly furnished. We were disappointed that there was only one chair in the room and one of us had to sit on the bed. There were very few amenities included and we had to request shower caps and a sewing kit if possible. Had to wait several hours for an extension cord for our sleep, machine and other electronics. Clerk sometimes abrupt on the phone when we were asking for things. Also, inconvenient to not have internet service in the breakfast room. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, but unfortunately, I found a long hair in my scrambled eggs! The waiter apologized, and reported it, but I was surprised that a manager never came over to speak to us. We saw plenty of managers walking around.
