We were on the 22nd floor and we had to take the stairs down (twice!) because we were going to be late for reservations. There was only 1 day that we did not wait over 10 min for an elevator and could get in. Sometimes if the elevator did come in 3-7min we couldn't get in because it was jam packed. There are benches out front of the hotel which seemed to bring some of the homeless. The rooms are smaller, as expected in NY. You could defiantly hear sirens every night and some screams. Seemed to be a bit of a rougher area. Though, the elevators is the main reason I would not stay here again

The hotel is within walking distance to numerous sights of interest. There are a lot of restaurants close by; a lot of selections for places to eat and shop. The noise level outside at night was pretty loud, however. The convenience of the location was worth it.
