Decent Hotel

The location was convenient and not far from the subway. Restaurants were a few blocks away. Their own restaurant was decent. You order and pay through a kiosk. There's a bar/bartender there for dinner. It's not cheap, but typical for New York. I appreciate having daily room service. Theses days you have to request it from many hotels. I also appreciate being able to leave our luggage free of charge after checking out but still sightseeing.

Staff gives helpful hints for the surrounding areas and promptly responds to guest issues. There's a restaurant on the 2nd floor (a good option if raining outside) as well as a deli a block away and a historic tavern less than 2 blocks from the hotel.

Highly recommend

Staff were helpful and courteous and very patient. The area is quiet and nice. Close to many attractions, piers and an accessible subway station (South Ferry) and the Staten Island ferry. Hotel was quiet and the guest laundry self-service is a plus. Highly recommend if you want to stay in a non touristy area.

The location was convenient as it had the subway station just a few steps away. The reception was very kind and helpful. The rooms were OK, comfortable beds, the bathroom had some details of low maintenance but everything worked fine and the price was really good. I would definitely go back.

I didn’t know what to expect with the New York hotel because sometimes they’re very small but this one was very spacious and nice. It was within walking distance to a lot of stores, Wall Street, World Trade Center, the Ellis Island ferry, and Battery Park. The only issue I encountered was that the shower would go from very hot to very cold and when I informed the front desk they sent someone up right away to fix it.

This was a great hotel! The staff was super helpful and the female bartender was so nice! The only bothersome detail was that the bathroom faucet was 0 to full blast only and noisy. There are plenty of awesome restaurants in walking distance and subway stations were close as well. Would definitely recommend!

It was in a great location. It felt very safe. It was cool to live in a little historic part of the country and then be surrounded by huge sky scrapers just a few blocks away. It was close to the subway stations we needed.
