Considering the number of floors this hotel has, there were only 3 small lift. So it seemed to wait forever to arrive. Once I actually timed, I took less time to walk to Whitehall station than waiting for a lift. At reception, two staff were sucking rollypops at the desk while on duty which I thought rather unprofessional.

By far the most hospitable hotel in manhattan. The staff here from Joe at the luggage desk to the amazing women who run the lobby desk, you all are the reason New York is so much fun to visit. My fiancé and I had our luggage ransacked and partly stolen by our airline and the hotel staff made sure we were able to get everything we needed and told us exactly where to go. Above and beyond. You all have won a customer for life with us.

It was a great place to stay. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. The elevators can't keep up with the traffic, and beware the low flow toilets. Otherwise, the room was clean, the location was great and the staff were professional. Honestly, housekeeping deserves a pat on the back, they were great.

Man the elevator situation is no joke. I think these guys need to figure it out. Either reduce the number of rooms/ demolish all rooms on every floor to add additional elevators/ have express elevators/ odd even, something. 44 floors share 3 elevators, slow and small, and staff constantly use one for themselves.????? Room is old and dark, shower leaks outside making a water mess. No microwave, desk have creases and have food debris all around. Chairs same thing - food gunk mess debris. Dirty. Not satisfied. Will not stay again. Call themselves “hilton” lmao
