New Italy has only 1 hotel within a 10-kilometre radius of its centre, so book on the double if you want to stay nearby.

As close to the heart of the city as you'll get, Rod N Reel Hotel Motel Woodburn is a terrific place to crash after a lively day of travelling.

Finding a room at the Iluka Motel is one more option if you're still on the hunt for a place to stay. You'll find it 30 kilometres from central New Italy. Another option is the Hotel Illawong Evans Head, 13 kilometres away.

This was a perfect overnight stop on a long road trip. The motel looked to have been recently renovated. The room was lovely and a good size. The bed was very comfortable and the views were great. I would definitely stay here again!
