SLS Baha Mar Review

The hotel was very family friendly. The service was great upon arrival and during the stay. We arrived early and bell service held onto our luggage until our room was ready. The room was ready before 4pm which was great. The restaurants were great a little pricey but the Sunday Brunch Buffet was delicious and offered lots of seafood options including lobster tails. We requested room service everyday which was 5 stars. The beach was amazing. There is lady who massages on the beach I purchased two 45 massages. She's there everyday look for her. SLS was said to be the party hotel which I beg to differ. It could of been that our stay was from Sunday-Friday. So maybe all the parties are Friday and Saturday. But needless to say we had an amazing stay.

Beautiful property and lots to do. Staff is not friendly and service is extremely slow. Took 3 days to get bedding for sleeper sofa, 2 hours for a bucket of ice, and blankets were bleached and had chewing gum

The property was excellent. Fantastic water park, beach, amenities and restaurants. Overall great service. However, we got a large one bedroom suite with a "full kitchen." We had plates and cutlery for only 3 people despite having 4 guests registered in the room. There were no knives (only butter knives) and no one would provide us with one. We had to go out to buy these ourselves. The kitchen sink leaked as soon as we used it the first time and had to be fixed. There was a horrendous smell from the bedroom bathroom that required treatment. There was no bedding for the pull-out and we had to wait hours to get it. After those initial stumbles the rest of the experience was great, but it was not the start we had expected.

We love our vacay at SLS , we would like to make the following recommendations: Whenever we request towels, kitchen utensils, the service will take long. Also it is a good idea to have a restroom with more privacy, at least a regular door not transparent, also to include ice dispensers on every floor or at least some floors.

We enjoyed going to different pools everyday, the beach, the water park and the dining options. The food was top notch from room service to the restaurants. Every staff member was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely return.

The hotel room looked worn, layout of room, and amenities, not up to the standard for what they’re normally charging. I got a deal through Expedia so I didn’t mind but when you think SLS you think Premier property which is not the case from a hotel room, standard. Staff, the food, the offerings in the common area- Everything was great. They need to do a refresh up the hallways and the rooms.

Our trip to Baha Mar SLS was very relaxing and enjoyable. We dined at Cleo, Marcus, Costa and Shaung Bau. The service was excellent everywhere you went. From the pools to the hotel staff. The only negative is the room was small and there was no actual space on the balcony to sit. That’s something I would change next time.

If you’re a family in a standard room, don't stay at SLS. You can only enter and exit the room by going through the bathroom. If someone is taking a shower or doing their business, you’ll have to wait, unless they don't care. The poorest hotel room design I have ever seen. Restaurant staff not very pleasant and typically slow. You’ll need some patience. The property itself though is amazing with all the available activities.

We decided to pick Baha mar sls for our family trip of 14 people, 10 adults and 4 kids. Prior to arrival, we tried every number we can find and emailed the restaurants to make reservations knowing seating 14 people last minute would be hard but never heard back. The first day we had to order pizza and eat outside. The second day, my mother slipped and fell in the shower, before the water was even turned on. She was taken to the hospital and has two fractures in her ankle and needs surgery. Getting a wheel chair and crutches from the resort took hours and the only thing we got was a case of water and milk for comfort. That evening we went to eat at Cleo, a nice Mediterranean restaurant. Our group is mostly vegetarian except me and my husband. We order the chicken kabob and shatshuka and got food poisoning. We had vomiting and diarrhea all night and the next day. Literally ruined the remainder of the trip because we were too weak to take the kids to the waterpark or beach and slept all day. Then the first night, the front desk forgot to get a credit card for one of the rooms and called us twice at 11:30 pm after our kids fell asleep. It woke them up and then we had a rough first night. I’ve stayed at Baha mar grand Hyatt before and had a good experience and convinced my family to come back and try SLS. NEVER AGAIN. I get others may have had a good experience but the service we had was terrible. We even had to wait hours for just extra blankets one night.
