It sits 130 kilometres to the east of South Korea's capital, Seoul.

Mother Nature's artwork can be seen in multiple places around Nae. Just 35 kilometres away, Seorak-san National Park is a wonderful place to start. Odaesan National Park sits 18 kilometres away and is another popular spot to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Once you've grabbed your pass and trail map at Yongpyong Ski Area, you won't want to waste a moment getting to the top of the slope! You may also like to hop on the chairlift and spend time on the slopes at High 1 Ski.

Hongcheon is 30 kilometres to the west and worth your time. After even more ideas? Inje, 35 kilometres to the northwest of Nae, ought to be your second stop.

Keen to go and check out the Animation Museum, Chuncheon Myeongdong Street and the Chuncheon National Museum? They're all not far from Chuncheon, 60 kilometres to the west. The Chuncheon Culture & Art Center and the Chuncheon Puppet Theater are also close at hand and should be on your travel plan.

If you're after something a bit more lively, you could take a look at the region's tobogganing options. Or perhaps mountain climbing is something you'd like to try? Whichever you opt for, you're certain to have a fantastic time.
