Holidays in Myrtle Creek

Okay, listen up! It's time to grab your passport, kiss your mum goodbye and take in the unique sights and sounds of Myrtle Creek. Sitting in the well-loved region of New South Wales (which is known for its awesome rural landscapes, beaches and coastal plains), it promises to be the getaway you deserve!

It sits 770 kilometres northeast of Canberra, the national capital of Australia.

Sitting 75 kilometres to the northeast, Kings Beach is a terrific spot to while away a few hours collecting shells from the shore. Lighthouse Beach is also home to some gorgeous scenery. You'll find this strip of coastline 65 kilometres to the northeast.

The soft sounds of nature await you at Lismore Visitor Information Centre. It's situated just 45 kilometres away, so you won't have to be stuck inside your car all day. Evans Head Visitor Information Centre, 40 kilometres away, is another recommended option.

Seeking some other close-by places? Whiporie is about 17 kilometres to the south, so jump in the car and start exploring! Alternatively, Mororo, 30 kilometres southeast of Myrtle Creek, is also worth the trip.

Whether it's for shopping or to see the sights, visitors often make their way to Iluka, 45 kilometres to the southeast. The Yamba Golf and Country Club, Yamba Beach and Yamba Shopping Fair are all close at hand. Of course, make sure you don't miss South Head Park and the Iluka Golf Club either.

Heading out and discovering the local area doesn't get any better when your options include adventurous activities like mountain climbing and hiking.

Shore fishing and bird watching are great ways to give yourself a break if always being on the move has left you a little frayed around the edges.

Doing your own planning puts you 100 percent in control, but once in a while it's a relief to let someone else make some decisions for you. Wildlife spotting tours, culinary tours and winery tours provide a hassle-free way to see this destination.

From Myrtle Creek, it's roughly 200 kilometres north to Brisbane Airport (BNE). This is the closest airport. Make sure you allow yourself a little extra time to get there so you don't miss check-in.
