Energetic visitors can also try their hand at popular regional pastimes like snowboarding and skiing.

Caviar or corn dogs? However you prefer to roll, you'll sure to love a trip to Canar, 11 kilometres away. With Poqueira Gorge and the Alpujarras Gate to check out, you're not gonna be bored. If you want to spend a few nights in Canar, look into the Puerta Nazarí and Hotel Mirasol. 14 kilometres to the east of Murchas you'll also find Carataunas, home to the Finca Los Llanos and Hotel Villa de Bubión. The Asociacion Jardin de la Alpujarra and the Casa Alpujarreña are popular points of interest to experience when you're in Carataunas.

The staff are all very helpful. For those of us Americans who do not speak Spanish, the staff is bilingual. Kathie, the front desk manager who signed us in, is an ex-pat and was helpful in directing us to various sites and activities. The location is good. It is on a side street just off the main street through Granada. Made it easy to find restaurants and shopping. The hotel is very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was adequate but not elaborate. My only complaint is that the chairs at the dining tables are padded and designed more as lounge chairs than dining chairs. Otherwise, a great stay. Would highly recommend it.
