I enjoyed my 3 day stay at the Delta Hotel. Thanks to Jade for changing our room from a double bed to two single bed.
Breakfast was excellent and catering staff were helpful especially when it was packed for the reggae weekend.
My room was on the 2nd floor. We noticed the runner was a hazard and i cant believe that this was repaired
. It was all ruffled which would cause a serious injury. We had to pull the runner twice to straighten. On both days other guest noticed this and said the chamber maids if they're still call this name should of informed hospitality / management.
Everyone was friendly answered my queries.
The room was clean and fresh.
Nothing was too much trouble from all the staff on the floor very pleasant stay.
Room service is wonderful, amazing breakfast for a great price, rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet. The staff is above and beyond!! Thank you again for wonderful stay!!
Would definately stay again. Hopefully the hotel will consider organising a shuttle bus service to and from future Reggae Land/ The Bowl events. Hotel staff extremely informative. accommodating and attentive. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Comfortable bed. Perfect for a weekend stay. Thank you for providing a fridge for room 145 - a pleasant surprise.
We stayed here last year and had an amazing room, so decided to book again as a halfway stop en-route to Alton Towers. Sadly we had a tired room - the air con didn't work and sounded like it was going to explode.
The shower didn't drain away quickly so you had to turn it off halfway through and let it drain before the floor got flooded.
Room and corridor leading to it was just a little old and worn.
Couldn't fault the staff or reception area though. They were great.
Very poor for a Delta Marriott. Will be lodging a formal complaint. 2 night stay: night 1 was absolutely unbearable. Room was like a sauna, couldn’t sleep at all (and it wasn’t that it was hot outside!). Had to ask to change room, which meant packing all stuff up again. 2nd room was marginally cooler, but still a bad nights sleep. Paint chipping off bathroom door and bathrobe hooks had been screwed completely through the door and were protruding through to the room side of the door. Hallway carpets threadbare in places and fraying with gaps at joins. Lift floor had three large bubbles in it which your shoes got hung on. Only plus side was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful.
Rooms need aircon, or to come with a warning about temperature levels.
Very disappointing, and expect a lot more of a Marriott Hotel.
Very very poor hotel …NO AC in rooms (how is that can be?!? ) house keeping very poor ..they come and make beds a bit and that’s it didn’t even put toilet paper in toile , didn’t hoover..etc.
very disappointing…stay with two kids-couldn’t sleep so hot was …that’s was first and last time visiting this hotel
Only stayed one night following a music festival but the room and bed were comfortable enough. Cleanliness of hotel was good as was the person on the front desk.

The room was fine, but it hadn't been made up for 3 people when we got in late, even though the booking was for 3 people. There was no bedding for the sofa bed and not enough pillows. I did call reception and they came right up to give us sheets, but instead of bringing enough pillows, she just took one of the pilllows from the main bed to put on the sofa bed. The room was also unbearably hot as there is no air con. Reception did let us use the gym changing rooms to freshen up after travelling, since our room wasnt ready yet and we had an event to go to. We appreciated this.
Stay was ok, but only ok, room was far too hot and no air conditioning and no fan meaning i had to sleep in sweltering heat due to being on the second floor and the window opening a massive 2 inches, fridge appeared to have been removed from the room (same for my colleague), carpets in communal areas coming up causing a trip hazard. Worst bit of the stay is that Babcock have a load of apprentices staying there who made an absolute racket every night at 10.30ish so this hotel is closer to a youth hostel than a hotel. On a positive note Rachel from the restaurant/bar was fantastic, very outgoing personable and attentive

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Communal facilities with the exception of the Gym were good. The Gym had no A/C & the water machine wasn’t working.
Bathroom door in bedroom had been butchered by numerous repairs, so much so, that thr screw end for the towel hooks was protruding at eye level on the bedroom side of the door. There were sharp edges where the carpet & hard floor met in the bedroom.
