Lovely Mona

Very comfortable. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the amenities. I missed the laundry because the map was in the key folder which my husband had and didn't look at. Loved the free drinks in the mini fridge, nice lobby beverage area as well. Get dinner reservations if the weather is bad. It's an older hotel that is nicely renovated. I discovered that the windows fully open, which would have been nice to know when the room needed a cool down. The AC can be a bit slow. There's nice coffee shops around. Don't miss walking around oldtown. Lovely lunch spot at the Little Oak Rd.

Could have been much better. Pros: location, view (if you het lake view room), privilege room is nice and big Cons: hotel needs many upgrades and upkeep, Showerhead is located in a very awkward location of bathtub making the shower a pain in the neck

Perfectly located in the centre of Montreux with an incredible backdrop of the lake. It is right on the water and so offers scenic dining and activities. The staff were so helpful and informative. They were very polite and smiley and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and tidy and there were compliments in the room making it extra special. The hotel had charm and little added extras that made you feel like you were in real luxury. We went for a few drinks at the Purple Fosh cocktail bar attached to the hotel and the barman was great, no drink was too much trouble. We would 100% come back again.

Hotel is located on the lakeside. The restaurant was amazing, not only the food was great, the view was incredible. The room was clean and spacious, staff was nice and friendly. Will stay there again if we could go back to Montreux some day.

The hotel as a whole is fine. The front desk is very courteous and the location on the lake is pretty. Upon checking into our room it was very hot. We turned air all the way down. When we came back it was still hot. We changed rooms which took awhile. The next room had a terrible smell. Initially thought it was bc the air wasn’t on. Late that night we came back and the smell was awful. We figured out it was coming from the pipe in the bathroom sink. We plugged sink & filled with soapy water. We informed front desk next morning. Nothing was done to fix it. We asked that we be compensated for our inconvenience and two nights in a foul smelling room. They were very apologetic and said they would tell the manager as soon as he returned and he would get in touch. It has now been two days and I have heard nothing from the manager. I have traveled around the world and have never had to switch rooms. We stayed in 4 other hotels while in Switzerland and all were wonderful. This hotel however was not one of them based solely on our rooms.
