We really enjoyed our stay - it was quiet and clean. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. We found the location was very good. It was close to McGill and Square Victoria metros. If you take the 747 bus to and from the airport, the bus stops are at the corner right outside the hotel. St Catharines Street is a minute walk up the road with a lot of options for shopping and eating. As well as the Eatons Centre and access to the underground city. We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Bell Centre and it was very easy to walk to. We also walked through the underground city from the Bell Centre to the Eaton Centre so that was intetesting! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions. Breakfast has all you need but can be clustered depending on time of morning. Lots of seating available. Overall we would absolutely stay here again. Prime location with an easy, comfortable stay.

If in Montreal, stay at The Square Philips Hotel!!

We always stay at the Square Philips when we visit Montreal. Walkable to everything. Lovely square in front. Dining and shopping nearby. Friendly staff. Valet parking. The rooms are spacious with full kitchens. Great for longer stays. Very clean rooms and hotel areas. Comfortable bed. Also roof terrace with pool, exercise room and laundry room is a definite plus! Breakfast options are plentiful with healthy options.

This hotel was at the absolute best location. Within walking distance to the bell center, old Montreal, Mount Royal, Molson Stadium, great shopping and amazing restaurants! The rooftop pool and patio was great for a hot afternoon when we decided to take the day off and lounge. The continental breakfast was also good to get a coffee and food to start the days walking adventures. The rooms are spacious with full kitchen so you could prepare food if you wanted but with so much great food around we didn’t use it. All in all on of the best vacation spots we have ever stayed and will recommend to everyone.

The best for a family with 3 teens and a toddler

The hotel suite we had with 2 rooms and living room with sofa bed was excellent. We were there with 6 people including 4 kids and they have a full bath plus half bath. The kitchen was great and we even made use of the dining table to entertain friends because getting reservations for 10 people was hard, more so with young kids. Breakfast buffet was good, wish they had scrambled eggs and some sausage or bacon but it was still a solid way to get started for the day. Check in and out was easy and the car valets were awesome. Location is very close to Rue St Catherine with shopping and restaurants and an easy walk down to old Montreal. Coming back uphill was a bit harder. Loved this place overall.

The hotel and its location are fantastic. The only thing that needs improvement is the breakfast experience, as we felt the hotel does not manage the cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area well when there are many guests. There were many dirty tables, and people arriving were looking for a place to sit but had nowhere to put their food trays because the available tables still had leftovers from previous diners. We experienced this on several occasions. Apart from this, the hotel and the service from its staff were wonderful. We recommend it.
