Hotel Bonaparte has a great location within Old Montreal yet is also within a manageable walk to the primary downtown shopping area, as well as the waterfront, and Griffintown. It offers a lovely, intimate scale, pleasant hotel rooms with wonderful high ceilings, charming French windows, comfy beds, stylish clean bathrooms and large walk in showers. There is a very good dining room with excellent service and a delicious menu. Very friendly and helpful staff. For improvements: -the magnetic key cards were constantly not working and needed to be reprogrammed:-( -please, no more single use plastic toiletries… outfit the lovely bathrooms with refillable dispensers. -the complimentary breakfast that gets delivered to one’s room is underwhelming, providing very mediocre (dry) croissants, and one has to go down stairs to fetch freshly brewed coffee with real cream or real milk, and only provides single use paper cups. Real mugs please ! -the elevator had a somewhat earthy/metal/workman odor which was a bit off- putting. Despite the fee areas needing improvement, Hotel Bonapart warrants a return visit

The day concierge was very helpful with our various needs .. info on local events, access to coffee, parking etc. it was my birthday and I was treated to a sparkler topped macaron for our dinner at the Bonaparte restaurant. A nice touch!

Front desk hotel staff were exceptional. We were greeted with a glass of prosecco at check-in. Concierge’s recommendations were so helpful and were all exactly what we were looking for. Front desk staff saw us coming in with wine one afternoon and quickly offered us a corkscrew (we had intentionally bought screw caps.) We had a view of Notre Dame from our window and hotel soundproofing was so good we could barely hear the hourly chimes. Only downside was the treacherous icy condition of the street on the whole block.

This is a lovely hotel directly adjacent to a parking lot so you can park your vehicle. The restaurant was excellent and the room was clean and roomy. Breakfast was delivered daily to the room and held in a little basket by the door. I caution to call the breakfast included a "continental breakfast". It was a cute boxed croissant with butter and jelly, a piece of cheese, a cranberry and pumpkin seed snack pack and some apple juice. I would have prefered some alternative to the daily criossants and would have welcomed a piece of fresh fruit. Coffee you had to make yourself in the room from a Keurig machine. Coffee in the room with a Keurig machine is hardly a replacement for fresh brewed which would be more in tune with this hotel's quality, but was lacking. Overall though the facility and staff were super!

Sidewalk in front of the hotel was neither shovelled or sanded. it was covered in wet snow and ice. I found it extremely difficult to walk safely outsider of the place.

We had to leave our apartment for a few days on short notice and the Hotel Bonaparte was a great choice. I will recommend this hotel to anyone coming to stay in Montreal. To me it's more for adults than kids (no pool, the restaurant is more "grown up", etc.) but I prefer that vibe anyway.

Our stay exceeded expectations. Very friendly helpful service, stylish decor throughout, and an excellent restaurant. In particular, we hadn't realised there was such a good restaurant in the hotel. We enjoyed a really good dinner. Good location for the charming old centre of Montreal. Parking seems relatively expensive at $35 however, it is very convenient being adjacent to the hotel and monitored 24 hours for security. No EV charging available yet.
