Holidays in Moal
We all know — a life full of surprises and adventure is a life well-lived. So grab your passport, pack your gear and say hello to Moal!
It's situated 380 kilometres to the northwest of Madrid, the capital city of Spain.
Spend at least a couple of hours playing games by the seaside at San Lorenzo Beach or Aguilar Beach.
It's common knowledge that time spent in nature is good for us. Keeping that in mind, why wouldn't you head 30 kilometres out of Moal to Centro de Interpretacion? Oficina de Turismo de Bual, just 45 kilometres away, is one more excellent option.
The best snow of the day is in the morning, so you ought to set your alarm clock early the night before travelling to Valgrande-Pajares.
Remember to visit other nearby sights, such as San Juan de Corias Monastery and the Teatro Toreno. You will find them 16 kilometres northeast in Cangas de Narcea. Not ready to head back to your hotel just yet? Las Rozas Dam and Centro de Interpretacion del Urogallo are in Palacios del Sil, 25 kilometres to the southeast of Moal.
Keen to go and check out the Prada a Tope Winery, the Pittacum Winery and the Vino del Bierzo Winery? They're all not far from Cacabelos, 45 kilometres away. Castro Ventoso and the Losada Vinos De Finca are also conveniently close and should be on your itinerary.
There's a whole new world of surprising flavours waiting to dance across your taste buds in Picos de Europa. With so many delicious things to treat yourself to, all you need to bring along is a robust appetite — and perhaps your stretchiest jeans.
Want to try some of the regional food? We suggest you get an appreciation for cheese and beef, two essential ingredients used in some of the dishes here.
Still have some room in your waistband after dinner? Then put in your order for dulce de manzana (apple sweet), an indulgent sweet treat.
Blend in with your hosts by learning some words in the local language. To get you started, have a go at saying 'Buenas noches'. This means 'good evening'. Perhaps you'll find '¡Buena suerte!' easier to say? This means 'good luck'.
Don't forget to mark the 12th of October in your calendar. In Moal this means one thing — National Day. A notable day of celebrations, this is an excellent time to travel to the country.
It's always tricky to say "Hasta la vista" to Moal, but we're sure you will have had an incredible trip.
Flying out? Plan a route, pack your suitcase and check your alarm clock. The nearest airport, Lavacolla Airport (SCQ), is around 150 kilometres to the west.

This is a unique property that we had the pleasure of staying at during our visit to Spain. It is in a remote area, in an ancient building, surrounded by a quaint village. Very beautiful inside and out. Excellent food in the dining room both at dinner and breakfast. The rooms were well appointed ...
