We have stayed at this 4-star hotel before and expected a good stay. This experience was terrible.
1) at the check-in we were assigned room 2047. We got the key and headed to the room with the porter. We tried our key but the door did not open. the porter let us in with her passpartout. We walked inside and as we start turning on the lights there was luggage and somebody sleeping in the bed! We left immediately. The person did not wake up. We were later told that that room is regularly to an airline.
2) Eventually the porter got us to a new room, 2067. No occupants there. As we showered later in the evening, we noticed a lot of black mold all over the tub. We told this at the reception the next morning and the observation was completely ignored (not even an 'I am sorry about the mold')
3) the faucet in the sink in the bathroom has reversed hock-up for hot and cold water (you get cold water when the level is on the left). I found out burning myself when I tried to get cold water to wash my hands.
4) The room was for 3 people but there was only 1 robe (hanging inside the closet). This is not a big deal but added to everything else it shown how little care is put in setting up the rooms.
None of the issues described above should be part of a stay in a 4-star hotel. On the bright side the pool is magnificent and the breakfast was memorable.
