It sits 1,850 kilometres southwest of United States of America's capital, Washington.

Venture out of Merit and you'll run into some unique natural attractions. Just 30 kilometres away, Bonham State Park is a terrific spot to spend some time in the fresh air. We also suggest Muddy Creek Preserve Trail, 45 kilometres away from Merit.

Experience the thrill of seeing a live football match at Eagle Stadium, the home of the Allen High School Eagles. After you've cheered along with their enthusiastic fans, why not grab a drink with them somewhere close by? To reach the stadium, head 45 kilometres southwest to Allen.

Head 30 kilometres to the southwest and you'll discover Princeton. It's popular for some fantastic attractions, including Clear Lake Park and the Collin Oaks Winery.

Roughly 40 kilometres to the west, McKinney is a place with lots to offer visitors. The Collin College, Collin County Courthouse and the Oak Hollow Golf Course are close at hand. Keep in mind, Chestnut Square Historic Village and the Heard Craig Center for the Arts are also worthy.
