It lies 1,800 kilometres southwest of Madrid, Spain's capital city.

Los Gigantes Beach is in Buenavista del Norte, 4 kilometres to the northwest. This great attraction is worth the journey.

Keep a sharp lookout for seashells to add to your collection at home or try to spot creatures like starfish and sea urchins at Los Cristianos Beach and El Medano Beach. You'll find these inviting coastlines 30 kilometres and 40 kilometres away, respectively.

Travel a little out of Masca and you'll stumble on some unique natural attractions. Just 25 kilometres away, Teide National Park is a nice place to unwind in the fresh air. Also consider checking out Wind Cave, 12 kilometres away from Masca.

Looking for more things to see and do? Head to Santiago del Teide, 5 kilometres southeast of Masca, for Alcala Beach and Oasis Los Gigantes Public Pool. Alternatively, Los Silos is 6 kilometres to the northeast, and it's here you'll come across Ancient Dragon Tree and La Glorieta Plaza.

Heading to Garachico? This place is just 9 kilometres to the northeast. If you're setting up camp here, get a map and circle Santa Ana Convent, Drago Park and Camello Center. Also consider stopping in at Juan Gonzalez de la Torre Plaza and San Marcos Church.

To really experience a place is to immerse yourself in its food and drink, so prepare to munch, crunch, sip and slurp your way through Tenerife. The only thing you need to take with you is a good appetite!
