Art Deco Weekend!! Art Deco Weekend is a celebration of the rebuilding of Napier after the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake- it celebrates our beautiful city and it's iconic buildings, memorializes the people of the city during the 1930's and makes for a great weekend! Add vintage car parades, over 200 different events - it's a great weekend!

The Sunken Gardens in Napier this was taken on our weekend away in this beautiful city. If you get the chance to visit Napier make sure you do.
This is Marine Parade in Napier. Napier is regarded as one of the most complete examples of an Art Deco city in the world, having been rebuilt after a large 1931 earthquake. The T&G Building shown here has been converted into high end apartments and entertainment spaces and is one of the landmarks of Art Deco Napier

This was a Christmas get away for us and was perfect. Great aircon which was needed, spacious, hot tub bath and the room was clean. bed comfy. Only issue was as is often the case, the fridge froze our food. When the freezer is just that little slot inside the fridge it often does that, so this was ...
