When chucking a sickie becomes way too simple, it's time to ditch the daily grind and say hello to Ly Ta!

Vietnam's capital city, Hanoi, lies 260 kilometres to the southeast of Ly Ta.

Go beyond Ly Ta and you'll enjoy some unique natural attractions. Just 18 kilometres away, Fan Si Pan is a splendid spot to get a little fresh air. Another sugggestion is Sapa Lake, 12 kilometres away from Ly Ta.

Are you a serious sports buff? Then you'll want to look up the event schedule at Tang Loong stadium, located 30 kilometres to the southeast in Sapa.

We recommend jumping in a car and finding your way to Hekou. It's around 13 kilometres to the northeast and home to the Thuy Hoa Park and the Den Mau Temple.

Whether you enjoy the thrill of Michelin stars or gnawing on a snack from a street cart, tasting the local food and drink is one of the best things about travelling. So why not treat your taste buds by tucking into some of the area's scrumptious offerings?
