Quiet but very spacious hotel

This is a lovely hotel, slightly worn in our bathroom, looks like someone had let the water get on the floor as the door was all split at the bottom. Room was really spacious and clean, only down fall was no air con and it was a very hot day when fans did nothing

Very very hot

Lovely clean hotel staff friendly facilities lovely and the ducks were very well welcomed! However, being in a hotel with no aircon in a heatwave while on medication that does not mix with heat, unable to fully open window really did affect our experience with migraines, nose bleeds and lack of sleep. The room itself just kept the heat in and was very muggy although the weather is out of their control being able to open the window and curtain! Would have been welcomed.

Check in was seamless, modern lovely Hotel, bar and outside area very good! Room however boiling hot, thin walls. Poor pool times for children! Asked in the morning if it was possible (only two people in the pool) if we could go in with our two year old to be told absolutely not before 10am. Anyone that has children know they wake well before that so 10am is a pointless time! Would be better off 7-10 not 10-12! Was a big let down! 3-5pm but was full of adults so morning time when it was so much quieter in there made more sense! Room was absolutely boiling and only one small fan on the hottest day of the year. Walls thin and didn’t sleep well with people walking up and down banging corridor. Room lovely and clean and a nice size for price though! Very modern hotel

Great location for the Uni

Great location if you are visiting relatives at the university. But rooms were uncomfortably warm - the weather was nice but not that hot. Warmer in the rooms than outside

Really enjoyed the stay. Visiting a festival 9 miles down the road so easy to get to. Very plush and most of all, the staff from the reception, dining room, Baugh to the room attendants were super friendly and very welcoming. Modern communal areas and lovely atmosphere. If there was one small issue, no air con in my room. Felt quite stuffy at night and they provide a fan that I had to keep on. Minor issue albeit.

Poor service. Took my elderly parents away (88 & 85). I put a note on my booking and phoned the hotel and was told they could have a twin room with walk in shower. On booking in, checked this was the case and this was confirmed. Got to room 10 which was had a double bed and bath. Staff member said he was only helping out and they didn’t have a twin room with walk in shower. Why didn’t they tell me as I would have stayed else where. I had asked on three separate occasions. A bottle of Prosecco had been pre arranged for both rooms. Only one room received this. The staff just seemed disinterested if something was wrong. My parents struggle to get into a bath but they really couldn’t care less. Breakfast was good.
