I really love the ambiance has a very Mexican look. Everyone was super nice very close to the clubs and restaurants. I walked about 18 min back to hotel at night and felt safe. The only thing I would take away is that I would have liked to listen to more Latin music in this resort, I didn’t like that they had a live band playing only Yt American music . They should embrace the culture I came here to enjoy Latin America not North America (pop) I understand that the majority but hey they here to enjoy Mexico

I loved the customer service and attention from the employees at the front desk. Also, the employees that were at the entrance greeting and helping with luggage were amazing. Carlos the manager was very nice and helpful with the issue I had with the room A/C. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the ladies working at the restaurant. They had an attitude and no smiles whatsoever. There was one lady in particular that always had a mad face. I would say she was the manager because she was not wearing a uniform like the ladies serving.

Well, the hotel is smaller than what they showed in the photos, but they are very comfortable. The studios had a KS bedroom with bathroom and another with dining room, kitchen and bathroom. Complete, two balconies. Highly recommended, the attention in the restaurant very good attention, the breakfast included, it was complete, fruit, coffee or orange juice, and the menu of 5 or 6 options, the service in excellent cleaning, clean and guarded facilities.

Everything great. Two opportunities to work on.

Everything was great 👍. Just have suggestion to do motive the televisions. My room did not have a remote available. Family's room could only watch two channels. Aside from this everything was good. Jose Luis the bartender was a bit snobbish. Refused to serve me drinks because I was not "All Inclusive" and after I told him I could pay he asked me If I had a credit card with money. Aside from refusing to address me in Spanish as I was addressing him he insinuated I would not be able to pay for my drinks until I wild him I had ten cards and would use American Express and he left to get the terminal and charged me. After the card we through... He addressed me in Spanish and asked me where I was from. Aside from these minor opportunities everything was great!! Thank you Solmar Resort!

Worst Vacation In Memory

This property is a mess and we paid to be miserable for 4 days. Balcony doors were filthy, walls are paper thin so you hear everything in the rooms around you. Electronics are from the Y2K era. Staff is poorly trained to do anything but apologize. Pool staff is good but the pool itself is disgusting. People were cutting themselves on this sharp rocklike texture that coated the pool. So we spend almost no time in the water because of health concerns. Beach view is beautiful and useless for swim in because it is in a riptide area. Tragic place. Should be torn down.

My experience at Solmar was great. The staff were absolutely wonderful! Octavio was my bartender most of my stay. He was amazing and attentive. The staff all remembered my name, outstanding service. The rooms are a little dated but I wasn’t in my room much. The view made up for it. It’s close walking or Uber to restaurants and shops.

We stayed 8 days at this hotel with 2 teenagers. We really liked that it wasn’t crowded. Hotel is beautiful and quiet. It’s also walking distance to town. Area is very safe. Rooms are big, clean but a bit dated but we didn’t mind it. Everything worked very well. We also liked food choices at the restaurants. Hotel is located on the beautiful beach but you can’t swim there, it’s too dangerous in the Pacific Ocean. We were a little disappointed since we didn’t know about it while we booked our stay. Hotel has 2 big swimming pools, one with a swim up bar, which was very convenient.We loved relaxing by the pool. Every single person who works there was very kind and friendly. We really loved our stay and visit. We would love to return.
