The location couldn't be better! Right at the foot of the Santa Monica Pier! Entrance to the high way right there close. Bicycle rental place and parking garage right across the street! Free use of boogie boards included. Cool tubular fireplace in the lobby with a warm gas fire crackling was a nice touch. Also we had a very tasty and quality brunch at the bar of the hotel restaurant, and the bartender was so very nice, and shared around a complimentary fresh carrot juice he had just made from huge carrots brought back from the farmer's market a couple blocks away! We loved our stay at the Pierside!

Location was perfect. Room upgrade upon check in. Pool area and restaurant were great. Only issue was a malfunctioning room access card that took almost a full day to completely resolve.
