The staff was both cordial and professional. The location is excellent for those customers wanting easy access to the Buckingham Palace area and easy access to the subway via Victoria Station. However, the room overall was small including the bathroom which did not allow more than one occupant at a time. Getting into and out of the shower /bath is fairly awkward due to the height of the tub wall. Taller customers (5’11”) and higher) will be challenged by the low ceiling and shower head in the bath. Management explained that our concerns were due to the Claremont being an older and historic building. Nonetheless the price still seemed quite high despite the location. Last , there was no pen and paper provided in our room.

Convenient for train station, avoid the top floor.

Checked in early but allocated an awkward attic room which had difficult access due to two lifts being out of service - ironic given it was the first hotel to have a lift! That would have been OK had the room been good but it had no view at all because the window was high up on the wall. The water pressure in the bathroom was low and variable so it took a long time to get hot water. The upside was the bed was comfortable.

We had no issues with this property we loved it, you can walk to Buckingham Palace area and do a couple of tours there and watch the changing of the guard, the underground station is right there by your hotel so you can go anywhere the staff was amazing and the property is an older hotel but it’s beautiful and has a ton of character we have nothing bad to say about this property we stayed in a superior king room and everyday they stocked our mini bar for free do we had plenty options to drink and snacks keep in mind it is an older property but we loved it no issues with our stay we were there 7 days just book it no need to look anywhere else

The Clermont is next to Victoria station, amazing.. as an older hotel in a tourist area, I did not expect the level of personal service, nor the condition of the hotel. Everything was spotless.. the breakfast while not “elegant” provided plenty of options from healthy to less so.. a good way to carb up before a day out. Room, while small were well equipped, bathroom modern. Yes I would stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE — A PRETTY STAIRCASE AND GOOD LOCATION WITH NOTHING ELSE TO OFFER. This is not a 4-star hotel. It’s 2–3 stars at best. Our room was extremely dusty — I had to take antihistamines and was blowing out dust from my nose (TMI, but that’s the level we’re talking). We had to wipe down surfaces ourselves just to use them. The cupboard was so filthy that dust flew out every time we opened it. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages. We complained on the 12th or 13th July and gave them plenty of time to address it. Nothing was done. On the 15th, we complained again and sent photos/videos. Housekeeping was sent up—and did nothing, even after we pointed out the specific areas. At one point, they tried to blame the carpet. No other hotel I’ve stayed in had this problem. If they can’t figure out how to clean carpets, either get rid of the carpet or hire new housekeeping staff. They offered to move us and refund 10–15%, which was laughable. We had evening shows booked daily and limited time in London, so moving rooms wasn’t simple. Eventually, we were offered 20% off the first two nights. I pushed for three nights, which was agreed to—but no more because “we need to make a profit.” Comfort clearly comes second here. The upgraded room was better, but the “unlimited” minibar was never restocked. We paid $4,034.43 (Wotif discount included) and were refunded $448.93. Not sure how that math worked. Also, the breakfast buffet was poor—bland, repetitive, and underwhelming.
