Don't even think of going home without seeing the Nebraska region, which features stunning foothills and prairies. There’s no shortage of fabulous activities to enjoy here either, such as camping. Or just grab a map, point to a place and see where the road takes you!

Ogallala is another place where you can kick back and make friends with the room service menu. Sitting 80 kilometres east of Lodgepole, it's where you'll find the Cowboy Museum and Front Street. Ogallala hotels include the Lonesome Dove Lodge and Quality Inn Ogallala. Alternatively, you could stay in Kimball, 85 kilometres to the west of Lodgepole, where you can pick from the Days Inn Kimball NE and Super 8 Kimball. The Four Winds Country Club and Gotte Park are popular attractions to see in Kimball.

On the plane? Flipping out cos you haven't got a place to stay at the other end? Don't panic! Odds are you'll be able to grab a room at the Best Western Plus Sidney Lodge. It's pretty close to Sidney Airport, which is 30 kilometres from the centre of Lodgepole.
