We enjoyed everything. It was clean and quiet. The staff was amazing. The machines paid out decently. It wasn't an hour hike to get to our room. Even though we were on the 32nd floor, it literally took us 4 minutes to get from the casino to our room. Very clean rooms and spotless bathrooms. Valet was quick and very polite

Roaches, Repairs & Regrets: A Palms Hotel Stay

I stayed at the Palms from 7/25 to 7/27, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from the start. Upon arrival, I was charged an additional fee for checking in early—which was frustrating but manageable. However, things quickly worsened when I entered the room and discovered the air conditioner wasn’t working. When I went to use the bathroom, I found that the toilet wouldn’t flush and was on the verge of overflowing. I called the front desk to report the issues but didn’t feel a sense of urgency from the staff. After receiving no meaningful response, I called again to emphasize that I was both overheating in the room and unable to use the bathroom properly. I asked if I could switch rooms, but that option was never offered. Instead, they sent a technician, Juan, who was incredibly helpful and professional. He discovered the A/C filter hadn’t been changed in quite some time and resolved both the air and toilet issues. I really appreciated his assistance, as no one else from the hotel followed up or checked in afterward. Additionally, the bed was extremely firm and could use extra cushioning. On my final night, I also noticed several roaches in the bathroom—prompting concerns about cleanliness and pest control. Overall, I was deeply disappointed in my stay and expected a much higher level of comfort and service.

1. I was disappointed that the adult pool was closed for most of my stay. The main pool was not relaxing at all! It was over-run with rowdy kids and too many people in general.. It was so noisy and there was not much room to do more than stand and cool off in the water. I was also disappointed that as the sun was setting and evening came on, the pool was closed. In many hotels that I have been to in the world, that is the lovely time before or after dinner and gaming, to have a few coctails by the pool- even if it isn't opened for swimming. 2. The gift shops are lacking merchandise. On vacation, people are in the mood to spend a little money in the gift shops, but not everyone wants a "Palms Resort & Casino t-shirt," There was nothing interesting to browse through and for some reason, a small bottle of water was $7-so overpriced! The kuerig coffee machine in my room was never cleaned properly. It was dirty (caked with coffee grains on the little spout and the resevoir for water was dusty and the screened clogged with debris. I took photos and immediately went to the front desk. They said I would get a $25 credit on my bill, but the credit was not showing up and even after going to the front desk the next day again, The coffee pot was never cleaned. Only the little plastic spout that pokes into the kuerig was wiped. That was all. Dust, coffee grinds and fine debris remained in other parts The a.c. vent needs to be wiped down also. It has black dust/mold on the edges.
