It lies 25 kilometres to the southeast of Amsterdam, the country's capital.

Take a trip out to Amersfoort, 15 kilometres to the southeast. Once you arrive, head straight for the Pyramid of Austerlitz.

Search for intricate seashells to add to your collection at home or try to spot small animals like clams and crabs at Scheveningen Beach and Zandvoort Beach. You can find these fantastic shorelines 65 kilometres and 50 kilometres away, respectively.
