Hotel room was large, exceptionally large with big beds. The hotel itself seemed okay but is noticeably dated now. Our aircon filter was very dusty and the toilet seat rubbed against the sink, which meant you either had to lean on the back of the seat at an angle or risk it falling down on you which isnt good. However the discount to the Kyoto tower is a nice bonus and the room had plenty of space for baggage. Washing facilities are much smaller and more expensive than anywhere else, with no coin option, laundry is card only.

I’ve stayed in Kyoto twice, and while I love the city, I hate the station area because it is all the over-tourism, noise and trash collected in one spot. This hotel was fine, nothing special, nothing bad, but its location is by the station. I recommend staying anywhere but the station area.

While the property is in a great location, the rooms are dated, AC didn’t work well in my room, there is a weird high step up into the small bathroom. If you’re only going for a short visit and just need a convenient location, this is a good spot!
