The rooms were clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was no elevator, but the staff carried all of my luggage to my room (and I had a lot of luggage). Breakfast was DELICIOUS and reasonably priced. My Jamaican friends stayed with us on this trip and they said the breakfast was 'a real Jamaican breakfast'.
The room was clean and the staff (from security, receptionist, housekeeping and kitchen staff) was pleasant. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others.
First, I had a pleasant experience with Shirley Retreat Hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable. I noticed one amenity missing: No Ice machine or Ice available.
The room was beautiful. I love the ceiling. I was in the carnation room. The cleaning staff went above and beyond, so quick and efficient and sooo polite and friendly. I would stay there just so I can see her again. The gentleman at the front door was so helpful getting us a taxi and directions to a good spot for food and also helped with our luggage. Mind you he didn’t have too and he still did. As well as greeting you with a warm welcome every time we saw him. The breakfast was really good at the hotel. I was sad I didn’t get to go more than twice, because it was better than the restaurants we tried around town. It was peaceful and the price was good too. Plus it’s close to everything for example Bob Marley museum, Devon House and Brooklyn Supermarket. if you like to walk like me and my husband. We’ll definitely be going back
