Khan Shatyr is Astana's biggest and best shopping centre and is also the world's biggest tent. This futuristic building reflects traditional Kazakh yurts, which were much more common in nomadic days. Khan Shatyr has well-known international shops and even a sky beach with sand imported sand from the Maldives.

The property is good, not very, but good enough. Staff are very polite, you feel that they love you and are trying to be very helpful. They are serving an incredible breakfast. Unfortunately, the door in the room (320) is broken (not stable). Too hot in the room. And absolutely non-comfortable pillows ...

Airport shuttle worked as planned, ideal arriving in a city I didn't know in the middle of the night. £13. Nothing to dislike, it's a big and spread out city so it's long walks, or very cheap taxis
