The bathroom amenities below standard as the shampoo/shower gel is foam which does not work... Overall I would suggest looking at another place to stay in Kendal irrelevant of price

i wanted to stay here but i changed the date on expedia and no one informed the hotel of the date change so my booking was cancelled What seems so strange if the hotel did not receive my booking how come the manager rang me whilst I was in Kendal on the day of my booking to tell me it was canceled

Spacious and well lit rooms, comfortable beds. And excellent cooked to order hot breakfast. Slight negative is that the room needs good noise proofing, as we were disturbed by the noise from the other rooms and street.

Very comfortable

I had a single room which was a good size, comfortable and furnished with an armchair, desk, chest of drawers and a wardrobe, which is more than you get in a good many hotels. There was also a good sized and well equipped shower room. My only criticism is their choice of coffee, which could be improved considerably. All the parts of the hotel that I visited were scrupulously clean and there was a friendly and efficient team on hand 24/7.

A little disappointing, I understand the hotel has just been purchased, however considering this it took a while to figure out that the hotel is now under a different name. The hotel needs work which is expected, however the fact the restaurant is not open for evening meals was just annoying.

We had problem finding the place as the name on the hotel was different We went past it three times We had to change rooms three times as the central heating was very loud and rattling dreadfully The maintenance man was not working that day No menu for breakfast just asked what cooked food we would like We had to screw the head of the shower up as it was not flowing properly and the mirror in the bathroom was so high I could only see my forehead in it The manager was very apologetic as they had only just taken over the hotel
