Turkey's capital city, Ankara, sits roughly 370 kilometres to the north of Karakaya.

Spend a little time collecting seashells at Konyaalti Beach Park or Mahmutlar Beach.

Travel a little out of Karakaya and you'll run into some unique natural attractions. Just 25 kilometres away, Manavgat Falls is a brilliant place to unwind in the fresh air. You also can't lose with Damlatas Caves, 30 kilometres away from Karakaya.

If you're the kind of traveller who loves experiencing the true local vibe of the area you're visiting, Oba Stadium should be number one on your to-do list. Check what live games are on while you're in town and cheer along with excited local sports fans. You'll find the venue 35 kilometres away in Alanya.

There's even more just down the road. Manavgat, 25 kilometres to the west, is popular for Side Theater and the Side Museum. Though, if Temple of Apollo and Athena and Side Harbor sound better to you, head 30 kilometres west from Karakaya to Side.
