Our birthday stay at The Datai Langkawi was nothing short of exceptional. This resort truly offers the perfect blend of luxury and nature immersion that's rare to find. The natural surroundings are absolutely spectacular. We were enchanted by the resident butterflies fluttering through the lush rainforest canopy—it felt like stepping into a nature documentary. The beach is pristine and peaceful, offering a secluded slice of paradise that made us feel worlds away from everyday life. The Nature Centre deserves special mention. It provided fascinating insights into the local ecosystem and rainforest, adding an educational dimension to our stay that we didn't expect but thoroughly appreciated. The staff there were knowledgeable and passionate about conservation. As golf enthusiasts, we were thrilled with the golf course. Playing surrounded by such stunning tropical scenery elevated the entire experience. The course is well-maintained and offers both a challenge and breathtaking views. Throughout our stay, the resort struck the perfect balance between luxury amenities and respect for the natural environment. Outstanding experience

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in worldwide. Spectacular setting and beautiful beach; rainforest villas in the heart of the jungle with copious wildlife (macaques, dusky leaf monkeys, monitor lizards, great hornbills, otters swimming in the sea, butterflies...); outstanding and really friendly service; excellent food. There is very little not to like about this outstanding hotel in an outstanding location.

Datai is a unique hotel. Mostly hidden in rainforest the villas are quiet and secluded and the service is excellent.Our beach villa had everything, enormous living area, seperate bedroom area, pool and beautiful gardens. Datai beach is just through the garden gate, safe swimming and at this time of year we were often the only ones in the water. Our "butler" Nazif did everything for us, presenting afternoon tea, organising dining arrangements, buggies and much more. It was hard to find a reason to leave our haven other than to eat. Big thank you Nazif. The 4 restaurants were all excellent offering a wide variety of cuisine and the happy, friendly staff were always keen to look after you. The Datai is up there as the overall, best hotel we have experienced in all our travels.
