You mightn't be spoiled for choice when it comes to accommodation in Interlaken, but you can take your pick of 3 digs within 30 kilometres of the centre.
It doesn't take long to reach central Interlaken from White's Corner and Ratho Farm (although with beds as comfy as these, don't be surprised if you wind up running a little behind schedule!)
Don't freak out if you find yourself still hunting for somewhere to stay in Interlaken. Try the Robinson Cottage, 25 kilometres away from central Interlaken.
But don't just stop there. Take some extra time to explore some of the awesome attractions and activities that the wider Tasmania region offers. Nature buffs should plan an outing to Interlaken's incredible forests, rivers and mountains. A few other gotta-sees to put on your hit list are open-air museums. Those with an appetite for adventure might also like to try a little rock climbing and mountain climbing here.
Ross is another place where you can lay back and order up room service like a boss. Sitting 30 kilometres northeast of Interlaken, it's where you'll find the Ross Female Factory and St John’s Anglican Church. The Colonial Cottages of Ross and Ross B&B Accommodation are a few of the great apartment and hotel options here. 60 kilometres to the north of Interlaken you'll also find Longford, home to the Woolmers Estate and Brickendon. Brickendon Colonial Farm Village and the National Rose Garden are up there with the most popular sites to check out for those visiting Longford.
Sitting 75 kilometres to the east of Interlaken is Swansea, a regional centre with a population of 500. It's where you'll find some awesome attractions, like Waterloo Point, the Glamorgan War Memorial and the East Coast Heritage Museum. Why not also see what's on offer at the Heritage Centre and the Bark Mill Museum? Swansea has places to stay to suit all budgets and tastes, such as the Swansea Cottages & Motel Suites and Swansea Beach Chalets.
If you're holidaying with the squad and your flight hits the tarmac a bit earlier than theirs, why not take yourself off to the Arendon Cottage and check out the accommodation? It's pretty close to Launceston Airport, which is 70 kilometres from the centre of town.
