The lodge was further out of town than we expected and on an unsealed road. Luckily we didn't meet anyone on the last stretch up to the lodge as it would have been a challenge to back down the driveway.
Online it said that reception would be open when we arrived, but there was no-one around other than the bar staff (who were very helpful and allowed us to have breakfast earlier than advertised the next day as we needed an early departure). We didn't see any other staff and only a handful of guests so it was very quiet.
Our room was very large with a nice outlook and a balcony. The bathroom was one of the largest I have ever encountered, with a double shower and double spa bath. The complimentary biscuits in the room, along with the tea/coffee/hot chocolate supplies were a nice touch.
