Great staff

I required a very late check-in and a very early check-out. The staff were fantastic in accommodating this and even put on an early (5am) breakfast for me! Although the room felt a little dated, I got a great night's sleep and have no complaints.

Last minute business trip

Booked at last minute, (same day) i asked for a shower due to mobility issues, on arrival told all rooms had walk in showers but Linda had moved things around so that i was in a twin on the ground floor with a wet room above and beyond. The room was clean, nice carpet to walk on, bed was comfy and linen was clean crisp and really white, the towels 2 sets provided i was eco so only used one set these were equally white and really soft. Plenty of hot waterwet room was spotless looked like it had been recently redone as tiling looked new and all grouting looked white, ive watched 4 in a bed so thougt id do the tv dust test spotless, found dust on the lightbulbs but lets be fair, so what. Lovely small bar area which doubles as a breakfast/ big tv room breakfast included no its not cooked but theres a great range of cereals that should satisfy 99.9% of guests, you'll always get one! brown or white bread, butter/margarine choice of marmalade jams or marmite choice of croissants, theres a toaster and microwave orange juice and teas and coffee for the price id say perfect. The bar was great a choice of tap beers/lagers theres a good choice of wines and spirits as well as a wide rande of sift drinks at sensible prices, well done for not being a rip off hotel and even better than genuinely pleasant staff to have a good conversation with talking of which Linda was having a bad day but being a professional she didn't take it out on any customers and still managed a laugh and a smile

Great value for money. Basic hotel. Décor & amenities are dated with signs of needing a revamp. Shower wasn’t great but did the job. This hotel is very clean. It has comfy clean beds. Black out curtains. The fan were a welcome addition as it was 31 degrees when we stayed. The staff were all nice. The outside space was a nice bonus too. We sat outside in the evening as it was great weather. Outside area kept nice clean & tidy. Great base to explore Cambridgeshire from. Gorgeous view from our window. Thank you.

Very friendly staff. However, the rooms and bathrooms could do with an upgrade. The beds were uncomfy, it felt like we were sleeping on a block of wood and the bathroom was very small and outdated. The room was spacious but all we had was a small desk fan to try and cool the room. We had breakfast included which was okay. There wasn't much variety but it was enough for us to have something. Its an ideal place for a one night stay. For anything longer, i feel an upgrade is needed.

We were given the worst room in the building. Right at the top of the stairs. Every time people came in or out the door would bang, theyd be struggling with suitcases etc. The room was incredibly hot, a fan was provided, it was very noisy. We opened the window and there were people below just talking at the top of their voices. The room at the top of the stairs is also above the entrance. Then they decided to evict someone from the premises who spent a good 10 minutes screaming her head off. Glad it was only one night. We will never stay there again.

Made a last minute stop in our journey, the idea was to be rested in the morning when we continued our journey. However little did we know how what seemed like a tired ex Travelodge was actually auditioning to be the next Bates Motel. We were tired and could overlook the tired out dated rooms, but the uncomfortable bed, the noise from other guests and the screams in the middle of the night meant that we were not surprised to see a police car outside in the morning. The hopes for rest didn’t happen, with very little sleep the only saving grace was the complimentary breakfast of cereals and toast that you could have in the bar/breakfast room. Needless to say if needing a journey break in the future I would drive a little further to stay somewhere that isn’t this hotel.
