More active types can also try their hand at snowboarding and skiing.

Don't shoot through before you've gone to the Cass Scenic Railroad and the Cass Railroad Museum in Snowshoe. If you want to spend a few nights in Snowshoe, look into the Serenity Now and The Inn at Snowshoe. 45 kilometres to the south of Huntersville you'll find Low Moor, which is home to the Oak Tree Inn Low Moor and Hill Crest Bed & Breakfast. If you're staying in Low Moor, be sure to visit the C & O Railway Heritage Center and the Masonic Ampitheatre.
