The front of the Four Seasons has a nice fountain and up-lighted trees that make for a nice long exposure shot. Best taken just after dusk.

Behold... Puu Pehe, known as “Sweetheart Rock”.

This is Lanai’s most notable landmark and the setting for one of Hawaii’s epic legends.
Story goes a hottie princess from Maui was "captured" by a young warrior from Lanai. He made her his wife and he was so smitten with her beauty and... apparently so insecure that he was afraid to let other men see her so kept her in a sea cave near the rock when he was away. One day the weather suddenly changes, the surf slams the area, and... yup, one less princess. The warrior rushed back to the cave, but it was too late, he climbed the steep rock where he buried her in a tomb and then overcome with grief leapt to his death.

Moral of story might be... um, don't abduct women and lock them in caves.
The Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay overlooks Hulopoe Beach, a fabulous crescent stretch of white sand. With lavatories, picnic facilities, and plenty of shady palms. You can often see spinner dolphin close to shoreline, and humpback whales in the winter. This area is a protected marine preserve and is a great snorkeling and diving spot.

The Four Seasons offers lounge chairs, complimentary snorkeling equipment, and towels. Also, big coolers of Ice-water and the best lemonade ever !
Enjoying my morning walk around Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay. The view of Hulopoe Bay is breathtaking. Not only is the water warm but the snorkeling is phenomenal. The bay is a Marine sanctuary filled with colorful marine life. We're so blessed to enjoy this uncrowded beach with the nicest public restrooms ever. #beach #lanai #hawaii
