Great property as a walking base for Halifax. Near attractions and dining and just below the citadel. If you’re walking.. prepare to go up and downhill to get to/from the hotel and the waterfront. Super friendly staff. Pretty decent breakfast buffet for $20. Would have appreciated slippers in the room. Easy ammenity that goes a long way with guests picky about walking around in socks or barefoot. Overall a great stay.

Not for family with kids.

Not kid friendly. No kids menu for room service. Was challenging to get a grilled cheese delivered. 4 or 5 calls to get this done. Staff is hit or miss. Staff is so-so. Some staff seemed like they wanted to be helpful. Others did not seem to care that much. Concierge was not that helpful. Pool was tiny. But nicely deep. Pool room was way to hot. If tried to escape the pool room for a breath of breathable air the door would lock behind. Why not at least let a room key open it? House keeping was good. Location is good to restaurants, citadel, sports venue, rogers square. It is a steep walk to the harbor.

Nice hotel with nice outdoor facilities, which unfortunately weren’t in use for breakfast. Sizable and well equipped fitness room and good size pool. Pool room/area was very warm, which was a bit unpleasant. Friendly staff.
