It's 600 kilometres to the west of Canberra, Australia's capital city.

Whether you're here for a business trip, some alone time or a romantic rendezvous, there's an assortment of activities to keep you occupied. There are several places in the area to gather and enjoy yourself, such as the Seppelt Great Western. Don't miss the Seppelt Winery and the Grampians Estate, Great Western Wine Centre either.

Head beyond Great Western and get ready to enjoy some wonderful natural sights. Just 16 kilometres away, Stawell Visitor Centre is a brilliant place to recharge your batteries. We also suggest McKenzies Falls, 45 kilometres away from Great Western.

Venture further afield and see what's happening in Armstrong, 6 kilometres to the south. Lots of visitors come here for the Chalambar Golf Club and Alexandra Gardens Park. Alternatively, Ararat is 13 kilometres to the southeast of Great Western. Head to this locality for convenient access to Ararat Former Town Hall and the Gum San Chinese Heritage Center.

Do a bit of shopping and visit some attractions in Avoca. This destination is 50 kilometres to the east and not far from the St Ignatius Vineyard, Avoca Visitor Information Centre and Avoca Public Park. That being said, you won't want to miss the Avoca Soldiers Memorial and the Cullenya Winery either.
