No customer complaint caring neither hotel image.

I have booked this hotel for me and my wife as were at a wedding close by and we are based in north of England. We checked in and all good. At 12:30 AM called reception to report the loud noise of people having sex and chatting very loud from the room next to us. The personnel at the reception mentioned that will do something about it. As the noise didn’t stop at all tried to phone reception again and the noise have not stopped at all and no answer from reception. This is terrible attitude from the staff member that don’t care about either the customer complaint and also the image of the hotel instead of being a high rating hotel now it will be advertised for the image that it has given us during our stay. I travel every week for business purposes so do lots of my colleague and we are a team of 121 people, just a start everyone of those 121 knows for sure to avoid this hotel. I travel every week for business purpose and every week in a different country/hotel and can reassure you never had such a bad attitude of customer caring.

Positive help and constructive criticism

Spot staining on carpets in room clearly careless from other guests but cleaners could do more ,large gap under main door to room 30 could do with strip also shower controls in bathroom looks like bits missing eg,chrome covers etc ,wardrobe in room simply needs hand handy man to cut 2 inches off bottom and push up to wall under electricity box ,if all these small jobs are done in room 30 will be perfect ,my past job was quality controls in 5 star hotels so I can spot minor irritations easily and advise on all your rooms if you want any help regards Dave

Great Hotel

I’ve used this hotel now on several business trips, good for parking. It’s a great place, lovely grounds, nice staff, good restaurants. Also has a small gym on site - which is ok. I’d definitely stay again, for me, its better than most other accommodation in the area.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Orsett Hall. The grounds are lovely with an array of wild birds including green parakeets. The food was good with very generous portions. The room was clean. Bathroom was clean just had some sealant peeling off bottom of the bath. The bed was a bit too hard for me. We used the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. We were the only ones using the pool so it was fine but it isn't that big so would have felt crowded if anyone else was in there. I did notice that some of the tiles around exposed edge needed cleaning. The staff were all lovely and very polite and helpful.

I enjoyed my experience at the Orsett Hotel I was there for a family wedding the room was clean and a nice size. The reception staff was friendly and helpful by getting me soya milk for my tea both in my room and in the restaurant. The hotel also held luggage after checking out. My only gripe was the deposit they had to take for my room I wasn't going to get any incidentals as I didn't need any and when I asked if I could use the deposit towards a late checkout they said I can't be used for it I would consider it an incidental.

I've been a regular business traveller at Orsett for the past 18 months. I think it offers very good quality and value for money, certainly when compared to the somewhat tired Premier Inn properties around Basildon that are generally more expensive. One area I've been less impressed with is the "buffet breakfast experiment" which has recently been introduced on certain days. It has a noticeable impact on the quality of the hot breakfast items, compared to the normal table services, so not a good idea in my opinion.

Lovely venue and gardens. Breakfast was a bit of a shame. They had run out of most items in the buffet and we had to wait for a table. They should also have proper hot water for drinks and not flasks. Overall it was a very pleasant stay with lovely rooms.
