Hotel needs updating the sockets to charge phones etc doesn’t work bath only ran like warm water and shower ran boiling hot no inbetween the room was very basic no sweetener for tea and coffee and only 2 teabags for 2 night stay all in all a little disappointing it’s also listed as a spa hotel with no spa only treatments available at request never offered when checking in breakfast was below standard and extremely basic.

WE enjoyed the tranquillity of the location. We enjoyed walking around the lake and sitting drinking coffee looking out over the lake. The decor is a bit dated but very clean and tidy.

The hotel was very dated and tired but for one night it would do. We felt it needed an upgrade. We had a lakeside room but couldn’t have the door open during the night and there were no windows to open so the room got hot. The bed we had was very lumpy and we could feel the springs through the mattress topper this made it one of the worst nights I’ve had in a hotel. The staff were very polite and attentive on reception and in the restaurant. We had breakfast. Again the food options and the layout were not as we’ve had in other hotels. Two toasters for the dining room was not enough. We chose the English breakfast option. The portion on the plate was a child size for an adult. The sausage was under done and the fried egg was over done.

The setting is lovely, and the range of services available are very adequate for a short stay. The menu, whilst limited, was fine and the food was prepared very quickly. Rooms were spacious and clean, although the whole place is now a bit dated and retro😀
