The hotel did not have any parking. We had to park in Nordstan which was hard to reach. Götenborg is just one construction site, which makes for a messy traffic. The hotel is recommendable as it is conveniently situated close to the ferry to Frederikshavn in Denmark.

Very close to a canal. Trams go right by and can take you straight to the central rail station. A tram can take you to a ferry port which can give you access to a number of very cool islands. Nice room. Beware: a security guy came down hard on me for opening a can of Celcius(sp?) water in the lobby, Maybe he thought it was a beer? Very affable people at the front desk. They only want to do housekeeping every fourth day.

I did not have the greatest experience. First, no parking for my car, so I had to park a mile away. Then they only did self check in. Then our room was like going through a maze just to get to it. There were three of us, so my son had to sleep on a sofa, but didn’t have any sheets or towels. Breakfast was good but so many people, we could hardly move. But it is a holiday weekend, so that could explain a lot of it.

A Hotel Disaster

No room cleaning or bins emptied in my 8 days, no team making facilities, no fridge, no safe, in shower no lotions,no tray, no grab handles, small room, no natural ventilation, long corridors to stairs, few lifts. Everything minimal, staff friendly but not informed, no great welcome.Situation for transport excellent. Gothenburg lovely.
