I don’t usually do reviews but this hotel is stunning. From the beautiful grounds to the premium quality & cleanliness of the rooms, everything was fabulous. I stay in Bristol & Gloucester quite regularly for work purposes & will be using this as a base camp for both. Outstanding!

I had a good stay at this hotel. I went with my partner and I met a university friend here. Staff are very friendly and accommodating especially in the atrium and the library bar. I met the head of catering who was very open to what I had to say about the catering which I really appreciated. If he reads this I’d say keep on doing what you are doing, very good approach. To the young waitress who served my friend and I, thank you for such great service.

Hotel staff very welcoming and check in was excellent very quick with Grace on front desk. Very clean and tidy rooms with plenty of tea and coffees. Powerful shower which is good to have. The kitchen let this place down. The service was not as good as we had hoped. The burger was burnt on the outside and pink inside. My wife had an upset tummy after that meal. Things were forgotten we had ordered. Everything else was good with the hotel.

The hotel is set in the most beautiful surroundings, a tree heaven. The building is majestic and the interior decor is lovely with interesting sculptures. Even though it was very busy, the staff were always helpful. They seemed to enjoy working there. The food was consistently delicious. The rooms were large and well equipped. The only problem was that you needed a map to find your way round.

Absolute terrible experience, was not given room that was booked, placed elsewhere. Informed room was not available, placed with wedding party which turned into an all night battle field. Complained at 02.30 and again at 04.30. Informed by desk staff that their is a problem but no resolution: Fell asleep in chair at 05.30. Complained to Duty Manager at 08.30 whom admitted they had received a torrent of complaints, requested restitution? Reply; Oh I will be in touch! Missed (paid) breakfast came away with a banana and a yoghurt (no spoon). what are you to do for me Expedia as this shambles was booked through you?
