This Waterfront North facing 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom island home has everything you will desire in a luxury style accommodation. This stunning waterfront home overlooking your own small sandy beach with Chill pavilion will have you relaxing the moment you arrive, and only a 10 minute boat trip from Runaway Bay.
The house is only accessible with your own boat or by water taxi .

Right next to Couran Cove (same entrance canal)

The Islander can easily accommodate a number of families with the ground floor accessing 4 bedrooms, living and dining, and 1 huge bedroom, rumpus and tv room upstairs. Your fully self contained kitchen has 2 dishwashers, modern appliances, and a servery to the outdoors.

Your holiday at The Islander Retreat, will allow you to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and all the stress that comes with it. We have set up our Island Retreat to cater for families and friends young and old. The perfect place to make life long memories.

You will have access to the nature walks throughout the island with an abundance of wallabies and wildlife, the canals and waterways for a spot of fishing or kayaking, your own sandy beach, curl up with a book in the chill out pavilion, or take a plunge in our own private heated pool or the heated spa.

If cooking up a BBQ feast on our huge outdoor deck is not for you, a 5 minute boat trip allows you to enjoy dining and refreshments at Tipplers Café.

From the location to the beautifully set out house itself. The moment we walked in we were taken aback by the decor, the cleanliness and how it smelt so lovely. We had everything we needed - the host & Claudia go above & beyond with the condiments, cookware etc. Our crew had a great time , even catching some crabs for dinner. We will most definitely be back again for that fix of pure haven.

Superb Island Getaway!

We had an incredible 3-night stay at this luxurious home on South Stradbroke Island. The house was beautifully presented, spacious, and so thoughtfully equipped — it had everything we could have possibly needed.It truly felt like an island paradise. Peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature, it was the perfect escape. Every detail made the stay feel extra special, from the comfort of the home to the high-end finishes throughout.The host was fantastic — so responsive and helpful, which made the whole experience seamless.Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. Peaceful Island Escape

This house on South Stradbroke Island is a complete getaway with no shops or supplies nearby. About 3.5km walk through bushland or 5km along the beach to Tippler's Resort which has cafe and basic supplies. Extremely well equipped and well laid out. Very comfortable beds and furnishing. Sauna and dipping pool, amazing sunsets, swim or kayak (kayaks provided) in the canal or walk or ride (bikes provided) to Tipplers and beyond to glorious beaches. Excellent berthing facility.

Our second stay at this property. Even better than the first!

We utilised the property for a weekend meeting of the National Board of Apex Australia. 9 adults had excellent accomodation and plenty of spaces for meetings and social fellowship with all enjoying the spa in the cooler evenings. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with ease of catering for this number.

South Stradbroke Islander-a boaties delight.

Boaties delight, this is a superbly well-presented and well-equipped and very comfortable large family holiday house. In quiet and peaceful surroundings. Perfect getaway from hustle and bustle on mainland. We enjoyed the walks along the beach, and the kayaking and swimming in the canal. Short boat rides to The Bedroom. Heaps of activities for our large family of 3 generations ranging from 12yr old to 77yr old. We love the absence of shops and general feeling of calm.

Fantastic property, Phil (owner) and Claudia (manager) great people. Couple of "party" houses either side of us over weekend brought mood down (relentless drinking and colourful language - not great for kids). Not too bad when we were inside, but did detract from the "vibe". But the property and people who own / manage it were great, can't fault that.

Great place with everything thought of. We had a board meeting/weekend with ten people coming from all over Australia. A very well appointed kitchen, two outdoor bbqs, 8 person spa and really nice bedrooms with super comfy beds. This place has everything!

Amazing property!

We recently spent a week at The Islander with our family from SA. The property is beautifully equipped with all the necessities to enjoy a home away from home. Very spacious home with great size bedrooms, Would highly recommend this property. Nothing required just your food, beers and swimmers! Great friendly hosts, professional and excellent communication.
