From Gohl, venture 55 kilometres to the west to reach Kiel, a significant city. You can also go 80 kilometres to the southeast to explore another excellent city, Schwerin.

Sitting 70 kilometres to the east, Warnemunde Beach is a charming spot to while away a day listening to the swell. Heiligendamm Beach also boasts some pleasant scenery. You'll find this piece of coastline 60 kilometres to the east.

You should always know where your closest natural escape is. Here, it's Kurpark Malente, 30 kilometres out of Gohl.

If you're thinking about venturing further afield, head 4 kilometres east to Heringsdorf. It's here you'll find Grossenbrode Beach and the Oldenburger Wallmuseum. We also recommend heading to Riepsdorf, 5 kilometres to the south, for Oldenburg in Holstein Rathaus and Leuchtturm Dahmeshoeved.

Feel like checking out Columbus Park, Abenteuer Dschungelland and Weissenhauser Strand Pier? Head over to Wangels, 13 kilometres to the west, and set up base. These attractions, along with Gut Testorf and Donkey Park, are all close at hand.
