Rather dated and a bit shabby.
Ok for a night’s sleep, but tatty and in need of an upgrade.
Bar is ok, but without any character or atmosphere.
Car park dark, so didn’t feel overly safe or secure.
Staff not overly interested.
Room wasn’t ready from 3pm as stated so we had to leave our bags in the front office because we had an event to attend. When we arrived back later that evening, it transpired our allocated room was directly above a wedding happening and the music was so loud that the floor was vibrating. Once it got to 11pm I called Reception to enquire as to what time the music would end and was told 12.30am. We were offered an alternative room which, granted, was quieter but unfortunately had not been properly cleaned (toothpaste stains in and around sink, tea/coffee not properly replenished and only one bath towel). At this point we just decided to admit defeat and go to sleep, getting up and checking out straight away without using any additional facilities. Hard to see a reason to stay again, which is unfortunate as it’s in a really convenient location.
I decided, very last minute, to use a hotel as we were celebrating a friend's birthday nearby. I had been given a room on the top floor, but there wasn't a lift and I have a knee problem, so I was swiftly swapped to a ground floor room. The room was excellent value for money. Even though the hotel is only rated 3*, it had an iron and ironing board, tea and coffee, a TV, a safe, free wi-fi, laundry service, and a gorgeously comfortable bed. It was also a nicely quiet room with an excellent level of blackout curtains. I'm not a picky person, but I know that readers of reviews want to know of any downsides; the bathroom had single use plastic cups.... Bring back the glasses!!! I rinsed the one I used and took it home to put in my recycling bin...
There is no lift here which could be a problem. It was quiet when we stayed but the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was quite basic but clean. No complaints.
I was very happy with all aspects of my visit to Rockingham Forest hotel, from reception on arrival to check out. All staff were very friendly, room was very clean and tidy.
Very friendly staff and go the extra mile to help out.
The cleanliness wasn't great. Crumbs in one of the draws and milk stains on the counter but ok.
My main issue was the road noise. It woke me up throughout the night and only managed about 4 hrs sleep.
They need to at least replace the rubber seals. For this reason, i wouldn't go back. Sorry, Best Western.

The decor could do with updating. Carpets were stained.
The service in the restaurant was extremely slow. Food was ok when it eventually arrived.
Nice big car park and staff were friendly and helpful.
As a single female I felt very safe and welcome at this hotel. Perfect location for a music gig at the venue literally less than 5 minutes walk straight down the road.
Both day and night receptionists Brogan and Andy were very friendly, efficient and provided great customer service.
Day and night they both willingly opened the bar for me and others (the band!) Thank you to them both.
Having a room change as maintenance required in my original room was a bonus as upgraded!
Absolutely no concerns about cleanliness.
